On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 15:00, the Orientation Program for the 2024-2025 Preparatory Class students of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Mus Alparslan University was held in the faculty conference hall.
The program began with a speech by Asst. Prof. Şirin GÜL, the Vice Dean of the Faculty, who welcomed and congratulated the new students. She wished them success for the 2024-2025 academic year, emphasizing the importance of managing time well and staying away from "Cyber Laziness" in order to succeed in their studies.
Following the speech, the students watched a promotional video about Muş province and Muş Alparslan University. Then, the Preparatory Class Advisor, Res. Asst. İsa YEŞİLMEN, gave a presentation introducing the Faculty of Islamic Sciences buildings, the student information system, institutional email, and the university’s websites.
The program continued with a religious music performance by Lecturer Ömer ÇAKRAK and Res. Asst. Emrah Baş. Then, the Preparatory Class Coordinator, Lecturer Mahfus İLGE, gave a talk on the grading system for the preparatory class.
Additionally, Res. Asst. Mustafa DÖNMEZ gave a Quality Orientation presentation, encouraging students to actively participate in the university's process of achieving quality standards.
Guests from Yesilay/Green Crescent Association, Taner YILDIRIM and Kadir GÖLBAŞI, also attended the event. Taner YILDIRIM introduced Yesilay, while Kadir GÖLBAŞI gave a presentation on gambling addiction.
The final activity of the program was a raffle, where students received books as prizes. After the raffle, the students who took the microphone shared with the participants why they chose to study at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences and their goals after graduation.
